Tag 술래잡기
A group of kids decides who will start out as being "it." That person chases the other people around, trying to tag one of them with their hand.
여러명이 어린이들이 누가 “술래”가 될지 정합니다. 술래는 다른사람을 쫓으며 손으로 그들중 한명을 치려고 합니다.
The newly tagged person is now "it." There is often the rule of "no tag-backs" where you can't tag the person who just tagged you.
술래가 누군가를 잡으면, 잡힌 사람이 새로운 “술래”가 됩니다. 술래가 되자마자 자기를 잡은사람을 바로 잡기 규칙이 종종 있어요.
The game ends when everyone is tired of playing. Any size group can play this game. And no equipment is needed.
모두가 지칠때쯤 게임이 끝납니다. 그룹의 크기와 상관없이 게임을 할수 있고 준비물은 필요없어요!
Hide and seek 숨바꼭질
There can be many variations. “It” counts to twenty, sometimes ten, sometimes one hundred. “it” closes his or her eyes and counts to a certain number without looking and then he or she tries to find the others.
이 게임은 많은 변형이 있을 수 있어요. 보통 술래가 20, 혹은 10, 가끔은 100까지 셉니다. 술래는 눈을 감고 정한 만큼의 숫자를 센 뒤에 다른 사람들을 찾아 나섭니다.
Ideally at least three player needed. No equipment is needed.
세명 이상의 인원이 필요하고 장비는 필요가 없죠!
Simon says 사이몬이 말하기를
이건 우리나라에는 없는 게임이에요. 그렇지만 규칙이 정말 단순하고 재미있어서 처음 영어배울때 하기에도 좋은 게임이랍니다!
This game can be played anywhere, even in a car or other small space. One person is Simon and starts by saying, "Simon says, '[insert action here]'.
게임은 작은 차안이나 좁은 실내공간 어디서나 할 수 있어요. 한사람이 사이몬이 되어 “사이몬이 말하기를”이라고 말하며 어떤 행동을 명령합니다.
" Everyone must then do the action. However, if Simon makes an action request without saying, "Simon says" to begin the request, anyone who does that action is out.
그러면 누구나 그 행동을 따라해야해요.
하지만 사이먼이 “사이먼이 말하기를”이라는 말 없이 행동을 지시했는데 그 행동을 따라하면 탈락이랍니다.
The last person still playing in the end will be Simon for the next round. A small group can play this game. No equipment is needed.
마지막까지 살아남은 사람이 다음 사이먼이 된답니다. 장비는 필요없어요!
Freeze tag 얼음땡
저는 일종의 얼음땡이라고 생각합니다. 물론 한국 버전은 얼음 자세가 다르지만요!
This is a variation of Tag where if the person who is "it" tags you, you have to freeze where you are. Another participant can tag you to unfreeze you. No equipment is needed.
이 게임은 술래잡기의 다른버전 같은거에요. 술래가 당신을 잡으면 있던 그대어 멈추어야 합니다. 다른 참가자가 당신을 치면 멈춤상태에서 풀려날 수 있아요. 마찬가지로 준비물은 없습니다!
Hopscoch 사방치기(땅따먹기)
물론 바닥의 선이 조금 다르게 생겼지만
한국의 땅따먹기와 기본적으로 같은 놀이입니다.
Use some sidewalk chalk and make a hopscotch grid.
Number the squares from one to nine.
분필을 이용해서 땅따먹기 선을 그어요. 1부터 9까지 각각의 네모에 숫자를 씁니다.
Pick a rock that is good for tossing. Small ones can bounce too much,
and larger ones are hard to throw.
던지기에 좋은 돌을 고릅니다. 너무 작은 것은 많이튀고 큰것은 던지기가 힘들어요.
Start by tossing the rock onto Square 1.
Hop over the rock and hop with a single foot or both feet
(to follow the hopscotch pattern) all the way to the end.
1번칸으로 돌을 던집니다. 한발로 혹은 두발로 (땅따먹기 규칙에 따라 다를 수 있어요)
돌을 넘어 점프해 끝까지 갑니다.
Turn around and come back, stopping on Square 2. Balancing on one foot, pick up the rock in Square 1 and hop over Square 1 to the start.
뒤돌아서 돌아오며 2번칸에서 멈춰섭니다. 한발로 균형을 잡고 1번칸에서 돌을 집은뒤 1번칸을 지나 시작점으로 돌아옵니다.
Continue this pattern with Square 2. And so on. If you toss your rock and miss the correct square, your turn is over.
2번칸도 이런식으로 반복합니다. 만약에 당신의 돌이 칸을 빗겨나가면 차례가 끝납니다.
This game can be played with any number of people, but only one person can go at a time.
몇명이든 함께 진행할 수 있지만 한번에 한사람만 갈 수 있어요.
If it's raining or dark or too cold, you can get indoor hopscotch mats. Chalk or hopscotch mat and small rock is needed.
비가오거나 어둡고 추우면 실내에서도 할 수 있어요. 실내용 땅따먹기 매트도 있고 테이프로 그릴 수 도 있습니다. 작은 돌 하나와 이것들이 필요해요.
Red Light, Green Light
저는 이게 무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다와 기본적으로 같은 게임이라고 생각해요.
With enough room, this game can easily be played inside.
One person is the traffic light at one end, and the other players are at the other end.
충분한 공간만 있으면 실내에서도 진행할 수 있습니다. 한사람이 술래, 즉 신호등이 되어 한쪽 끝에 섭니다. 다른 사람들은 모두 다른쪽 끝에 서요.
When the traffic light faces the group,
he or she says, "Red light!" and everyone must freeze.
신호등 술래가 다른 친구들을 향해 서며 “빨간불”이라고 하면 모두가 멈춰야 합니다.
The traffic light then turns his or her back and says,
"Green light!" while the group tries to get as close to the traffic light as possible.
신호등 술래가 다시 뒤를 돌아 초록불이라고 외치면 다른 친구들은
모두 최대한 신호등에 가깝게 다가갑니다.
The traffic light turns around quickly, again saying, "Red light!",
and if anyone is spotted moving, they have to go back to the starting place.
신호등이 다시 빠르게 뒤돌아며 빨간불을 외치고 느군가 움직이는게 보이면
다시 원래 위치로 돌아가야해요.
The first person to tag the traffic light wins and gets to be the next traffic light.
No equipment is needed.
신호등을 잡는 사람이 게임에서 이기고 다음 신호등이 됩니다. 작은 인원으로도 진행할 수 있고 도구가 필요없어요!
